I wish I had found this sooner, before my last crash. Its light and easy to use. It just lives in my pack and provides an extra layer of protection when I crash next time.

This back protector is light and flexible. It's made out of the same material as some of my motorcycle armor. Definitely worth it.

I use this protector with the H.A.W.G. Pro 20. I was worried it would add too much weight and make the back panel too hot, but I have not really noticed the weight or increased heat. I haven’t fallen on my back yet so can’t say much about the actual protection other than it appears to be robust. It was relatively easy to insert into the sleeve under the water bladder.

Just recreational riders, but because we carry heavy chain locks in our HAWG Pro packs, we use the Protector Panels just in case of a spill or fall. Inexpensive spine protection.

The Camelbak Impact protector can double as a S.A.M split for 1st aid. If this is in your pack already it's more transportable than traditional splints that rely on heavy materials. Our guides often have overflowing packs and this can really save the some room.
